Wild Weather Hits Mount Annan Overnight

(Published Feb 24, 2013) – Strong gusts of winds and driving rain hit the area overnight, with some residents likening the weather to a mini cyclone.

Trees were brought down with damage to houses/townhouses on Waterworth Drive occurring around the area of The Cascades. Driving through area this morning, it looks like a bomb had hit the area. Friends of mine had a trampoline in their back yard last night – they have no idea where it is today.

Retails shops did not escape the damage of the storm last night. The local Coles sustained damage to it’s roof, with the big bucket outside KFC pretty much destroyed with the wild weather.
