Christmas Lights 2011

For the latest information on Christmas Light displays in Mount Annan, check out our main post here.

Well, it’s that time of year again – the festive season, with Mount Annan and surrounding areas well known for Christmas light displays.

Coming up to the first weekend of December is normally the time that you see lights starting to go up around Mount Annan, and in particular The Cascades, although already there are lights on Waterworth Drive.

Being a local, I love the lights but hate the traffic jams that come with it, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights leading up to Christmas Day. But it’s only for a few weeks all in the spirit of the festive season.

To see the best (or most) lights, start at the corner of  Waterworth Drive and Manna Gum Road and follow Waterworth in a North East direction down to the cascades. Turn right and just follow the crowds.  A map is shown below of the starting point:

Best to park somewhere and just walk. You’ll see more and not get stuck in the traffic (which is usually busiest between 9pm and 10pm).
