According to the Roads and Maritime website, roadworks are due to commence next week (Mon 20th August) to build a third lane (westbound) between the Hume Highway interchange and the Botanic Gardens entrance.
This will hopefully reduce the long traffic queues that occur most weekday afternoons that we all experience.
The only downside is that the speed limit will be reduced from 80km/h to 60km/h westbound only on Narellan Road between Blaxland Road and Mount Annan Drive during this time.
