We all have old chemicals lying around, and often they have been there for a while. And that’s because we don’t know how to dispose of them.
Just after Australia Day, there is an opportunity for local residents (in fact all in the Camden council area) to safely dispose of their unused chemicals that are lying around the house.
On Saturday 29th January, from 9am to 3.30pm, go to at Onslow Park, Mitchell Street, Camden with your old chemicals.
A maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item will be accepted.
The clean out team will accept:
- Solvents and household cleaners
- Floor care products
- Ammonia-based cleaners
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Poisons
- Pool chemicals
- Hobby chemicals
- Acids and alkalis
- Fluorescent globes and tubes
- Smoke detectors
- Paint and paint-related products
- Gas bottles
- Fire extinguishers
- Car and household batteries
- Motor oils and cooking oils
- Motor fuels
The event is supported by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).
