Budding Photographer Competition

The 2014 Budding Photographer Competition is on again now at the Botanical Gardens.

There is so much to take photos of in the gardens so it shouldn’t be too hard finding a category to enter into  – whether it be People in Gardens, Plants and Animals, Landscapes, Up Close and Personal (Macro) categories, as well as categories for Primary School and High School aged students.

A $10 fee per image applies for general entry, with photos entered in the children’s categories are only $5 per entry.

Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens members receive a 10% discount on all entries. All photographs entered into the competition must have be taken at the Garden.

The entry form can be downloaded from here.

Important info:

The competition closes on the 27h July

Voting or the People’s choice award begins in August

An exhibition of the entries will be held in September in the visitor’s centre

For further info contact the Visitor Centre on 4634 7935, or visit their website.

Here’s a pic taken a few weeks again at the body of water nearest the Narellan Road entry.
