Welcome
Mount Annan is located on the the outskirts of Sydney Australia, about 60Km South West of the Sydney CBD. It is in the local government area of Camden Council and is part of the Macarthur region.
Mount Annan is surrounded by the suburbs of Currans Hill, Smeaton Grange and Narellan Vale. Narellan, Camden and Campbelltown are only a short drive away.
There is plenty to see and do around the local area. Mount Annan Botanical Gardens is a very popular destination for families with its vast parklands and wide variety of plant life. The Cascades (completed in 1999) is a beautiful residential area with man made water features that the local wildlife has been attracted to in numbers. Historic Camden is also a very popular place for visitors.
The area is fairly young by Sydney standards with substantial housing occurring in the late 90s, and new estates are still sprouting up now around the area. According to Census data, the population of Mount Annan was 5645 in 1996, 6642 in 2001 and 8383 in 2006.
Three fair sized shopping centres are located at Mount Annan, namely Mount Annan Marketplace, Mount Annan Central and Mount Annan Shopping Village. Coles and Woolworths respectively 2 of the centres with many other specialty shops. Mount Annan also has a good variety of fast food outlets which are located between these shopping centres.
If coming from the Sydney metropolitan area, drive down the M5 motorway which becomes the Hume Highway, and take the 2nd Campbelltown turn off onto Narellan Road. Follow the signs directing towards Camden/Narellan.
Visiting from the South is easier – take the Narellan Road exit, and turn left at the lights.
